EMDR
What is EMDR Therapy?
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is an evidence-based therapy that helps your brain safely process distressing or traumatic experiences. Using gentle techniques like eye movements or tapping, EMDR can reduce anxiety, flashbacks, and emotional overwhelm, helping you reclaim calm, clarity, and resilience in just a few sessions.
PTSD (Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder)
Anxiety
Depression
Phobias
How Does EMDR Work?
Unlike traditional talk therapy, EMDR uses bilateral stimulation—like eye movements, tapping, or gentle buzzing—to help the brain reprocess difficult memories. This approach:
Stores distressing experiences in a healthier, less emotionally charged way
Reduces the overwhelming or “stuck” feeling associated with past trauma
Benefits of EMDR
Reduces trauma-related symptoms such as flashbacks, anxiety, and avoidance
Improves emotional regulation, making it easier to respond to stress
Enhances mental clarity, decision-making, and problem-solving
Efficient and time-sensitive, with noticeable improvements often within a few sessions
Non-invasive and gentle, ideal for those hesitant about traditional therapy
Why Choose EMDR?
Whether you’re struggling with a recent event or unresolved trauma from the past, EMDR can help you:
Reclaim your peace of mind
Restore emotional well-being
Move forward free from the weight of unresolved trauma
Walk & Talk
What is Walk & Talk Therapy?
Walk & Talk Therapy is a dynamic form of psychotherapy that takes place outdoors while walking with a therapist. Sometimes called outdoor or hiking therapy, it blends traditional talk therapy with the physical and emotional benefits of being in nature.
Is Walk & Talk Therapy Right for You?
This approach may be a great fit if you:
Enjoy spending time in the fresh air
Have extra energy during sessions or struggle with sitting still
Feel more comfortable talking side by side rather than face to face
Experience a greater sense of calm and openness in natural surroundings
Benefits of Walk & Talk Therapy
Movement for Mind and Body – Encourages physical activity, supporting mental wellness and reducing sedentary habits
Fresh Air, Clearer Mind – Being outdoors can ease pressure, reduce stress, and help you open up more naturally
Grounding Through Nature – Sessions may include natural grounding tools or nature-based metaphors to deepen the therapeutic experience
Flexible, Inspiring Environments – Walk & Talk sessions can take place in parks, gardens, forest trails, coastal paths, or urban green spaces
Walk & Talk Therapy offers a refreshing, holistic alternative to traditional therapy and is ideal for those who feel more at ease in motion and in nature.
Somatic
What is Somatic Therapy?
Somatic Therapy goes beyond traditional talk therapy by exploring how your body stores emotional stress. In a session, you may be guided to:
Notice physical sensations tied to emotions or memories
Explore tension, discomfort, or numbness in specific areas of the body
Gently release unresolved emotions in a safe, grounded way
This therapy supports healing by reconnecting you with your body as a source of insight, resilience, and emotional regulation.
What to Expect in a Session
Somatic Therapy may include a blend of techniques, such as:
Mindfulness and grounding exercises
Deep breathing and relaxation techniques
Movement practices like stretching, yoga, or gentle dance
Voice work and body awareness
Hands-on methods, such as bodywork (when appropriate)
These tools help you reduce stress, improve emotional regulation, and reconnect with a sense of safety and presence in your body.
How Somatic Therapy Works
At the core of Somatic Therapy is the belief that the body holds onto unprocessed emotions and trauma. Through this approach, you’ll learn to:
Identify physical sensations linked to past experiences
Recognize instinctive responses like fight, flight, or freeze
Explore movements or expressions your body may have needed but couldn’t complete
Return to a grounded, calm state using breath, posture, and awareness
One key practice is centering, developing a “home base” inside your body that helps you feel steady, present, and empowered.
Somatic Therapy helps you move beyond survival and into a state of deeper healing, connection, and resilience—by listening to and working with the wisdom of your body.
