About Me
Hi, I’m Bethany and I’m so glad you’re here.
I’m a trauma-informed therapist with a deep passion for helping people heal, grow, and reconnect with themselves. I specialize in evidence-based, body-centered approaches, including EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) and Somatic Therapy, which support the nervous system in safely processing unresolved experiences. These methods are powerful tools for transformation, helping you move beyond old patterns and into a life of greater ease, clarity, and resilience.
Clients often come to me feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or burdened by things that feel hard to name, let alone change. My role is to walk alongside you, offering practical support and compassionate guidance as we gently explore what’s getting in the way. Therapy isn’t just about insight; it’s about real, lasting change, at the pace your system can handle.
My Approach
I bring an interactive, collaborative, and solution-focused style to my work. You won’t find me silently taking notes. Instead, I’m fully engaged, offering reflections, tools, and insights in real time. I believe in meeting you exactly where you are, with curiosity, respect, and zero judgment.
At the core of my practice is a belief in Whole Person Wellness. That means we’ll consider all aspects of your well-being—emotional, mental, physical, and relational. I tailor each session to your unique needs, honoring your lived experience and personal goals every step of the way.
What It’s Like to Work Together
Starting therapy can feel like a big step, especially when trauma is part of your story. My clients describe me as warm, down-to-earth, and direct. I strive to create a safe, grounded environment where you can feel seen, supported, and empowered to make meaningful change.
I offer daytime availability for both in-person and virtual sessions, and I’m committed to making the therapeutic process as approachable and effective as possible.
If you’re ready to explore what’s possible beyond survival toward healing, wholeness, and genuine well-being, I’d love to hear from you.
I was recently featured in VoyageSTL, where I shared more about my journey and the inspiration behind Be Well with Bethany. You can read the interview here.
